Welcome to the Linda and Scott cruising web page. This has been our dream trip...and it has been wonderful!  We have met great new friends and have seen parts of Mexico not usually seen. Having said that, for an assortment good reasons,  after nine months, we  "turned around" and headed back north about the 15th of March from our southern most base in Barra de Navidad a few miles north of the holiday/industrial port of Manzanillo.

We arrived  back in the La Cruz (PV) marina soon there after; and Linda  then flew back to the USA and on to Europe the 1st of April to visit family and friends. She had a great time and now is back on the boat in the USA.

At that point,  Scott and a professional skipper and crew (collected in La Cruz...read the log as to how this turned out)  began the robust bash north....a 1100 mile voyage.  It is considered a "bash" because typical winds will be 16-25 kts on the nose accompanied by 4-6 foot head seas! This is definitely a slower (sub 6 kts) journey. SV Samantha arrived back in San Diego in early May.

We plan to spend time during the early summer in the southern California  area hopping up to Santa Barbara. Whilst in the LA area we will be visiting with Scott's daughter, Samantha, who has recently relocated there.

And, at that point, a new adventure begins bringing the boat up the rough part of the California coast during July/August!!! This might be a bigger bash, but far shorter, than the Baja Bash.

We arrived back in San Francisco 26th July 2009....we will carry on the journey into the delta over the next few years from a base in Sausalito.
